In the mid-1980s, Carl began building a network of private colleges, and over the course of two decades, built 20 on-ground campuses and Independence University. He ran a successful group of quality private colleges and was a leader in the post-secondary private college sector. The colleges exclusively offered degree programs up to Masters levels in healthcare (respiratory therapy, nursing, etc.), business and accounting, graphic arts, and computer science.
Carl discovered Ayn Rand’s philosophy in 1980. He has used the principles of Rand’s philosophy, Objectivism, to guide my life and business ventures, and I have been successful and created wealth.
