Peggy is an award winning scientist combining psychology and design with advanced technologies to drive innovations in Artificial Intelligence, Social Computing, Virtual/Augmented Reality, and Robotics for improving individual and team health, human-machine communications and performance on Earth and in Space. She has won numerous research grants from the DoD, NASA, and DoE. She has served as chair and speaker at academic conferences, invited expert for congressional staffer briefings, NASA proposal reviewer, and conducts public engagements through the National Academies of Sciences and the United Nations. She is an inventor with six U.S. and one European patent. She is motivated to transition sound research into technologies that can result in meaningful societal benefit.
