Paulo Chapchap MD PhD is graduated by Universidade de São Paulo. Research fellow and visiting assistant professor in liver transplantation at the University of Pittsburgh (1986 and 1987). PhD in surgery by Universidade de São Paulo. Served as board member of the International Liver Transplantation Society from 2007 to 2011. Since 1998 serves as surgeon and director of the Liver Transplantation Program at Hospital Sírio-Libanês.

Paulo has been coordinating the COVID-19 combat group in Brazil called “Todos pela Saúde” (All for Health), created by the financial institution Itaú Unibanco. He is also an Advisory Board member of the Fundação Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo, board chairman and pro-dean of strictu sensu courses of Sírio-Libanês Ensino e Pesquisa and CEO of Hospital Sírio-Libanês.
