Norbert Schuch is a professor of physics and mathematics at the University of Vienna (Austria). His research is located at the interface between quantum information, quantum computing, and quantum many-body systems, and focuses on the study of the rich phenomena which can be observed in complex quantum systems, and their use in quantum computing and quantum information processing.
Before joining the University of Vienna in 2020, he was a tenured research group leader at the Max-Planck-Institute of Quantum Optics in Garching (Germany), and before an assistant professor at the Institute for Quantum Information at RWTH Aachen University (Germany).
