Karan is an entrepreneur with experience in building ventures at the intersection of technology, economic mobility and sustainability. He is the Co-Founder of Opportunity@Work focused on rewiring the labor market so that individuals Skilled Through Alternative Routes (STARs) can work, learn and earn to their full potential. Previously, he co-founded, built and sold GADCO - the largest producer and processor of rice in Ghana using best-in-class science & technology. He serves on the governing or advisory boards of multiple ventures including WAVE (tackling unemployment in West Africa), Tomato Jos (food venture in Nigeria), Cervest (machine learning for climate resilience), SkillUp (rehiring of workers). Karan was previously at McKinsey & Company and a software developer at Siemens. He was named a 30 under 30 Social Entrepreneur by Forbes and an Aspen Institute New Voices Fellow. He holds a BS from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Harvard Business School as a Baker Scholar.
